Hi, bought a 2015 Jimny already fitted with a 40mm OME lift kit installed. However, with only 13000km on the clock, the OME (Old Man Emu) shocks were shot! Enquired all over for replacement shocks other than OME's, and found there is only a couple of options available for Jimny's with a lift kit installed, and all the options are quite expensive. With the help of Riaan at HiQ Dastek,(opposite Waterkloof Airbase) he found Monroe Adventure shocks that fit the Jimny with a 40mm lift kit installed. Have not done any axle twisting with them yet, but it provides much better damping than the OME's and improves the handling quite a bit.

The shocks that we fitted on the Jimny with the 40mm lift kit:-

Monroe D7644 (Replacement shocks for the Grand Vitara rear), fit the Jimny front with 40mm lift kit. Only need to open the bottom clevis a couple of mm's, otherwise perfect.
Monroe D7021 (Replacement shocks for the Daihatsu Terios rear), fit perfectly on the rear of the Jimny with 40mm lift.

Took it to Kungwini the weekend and the shocks work perfectly.

Hope this help somebody. Total cost for the 4 shocks R4300 installed Very Happy
