I have a 1991 Vitara and the Alternator light wont go out. I have put a voltmeter across the battery terminals with the engine switched of and it reads 12.6 volts. When I start the engine the terminal voltage rises to 14.2 volts which to me indicates the alternator is charging and the regulator is working as it should do . Any suggestions
