I've owned a few vitaras, but my newest one, a 2003 petrol has a few probs, I took it to a suzuki dealers for a service after buying it, and asked them to check a few other items out, well I've now lost all faith in dealers and will go elsewhere or DIY

first they quoted me £275 to replace the o2 sensor, I just did it for £17 and a couple of hours, but I also asked about the flashing 4wd on dash when in either hi or lo, they assured me the transfer box was kaput and that the car was only running in 2wd mode, told me to find a second hand gearbox which they would fit and charge labour, so £300 plus fitting, the following day I popped over my woodland, and yup got totally stuck in the muddy path approach road, thought lets just try, 4wd low selected and she pulled out easy as anything, have since used it a couple more times and yup 4wd definitely works, so the dealers were talking out of their A***

googling the problem I get replies that it's the air pump behind front bumper, loosing air hence the flashing green, anyone know if this is correct, and how to fix, or does anyone know a half decent garage around romford, essex, area that knows vitaras and may help?

many thanks
