I just dug my radios out this morning, with the idea that I wanted to see if they still powered up. I haven't used either of them since 2002, so a long time in the cupboard. But they worked fine Smile
My first radio I used to use offroading back in 99 was my Superstar 360 (bottom) which is a full multimode analogue radio and the second (top) is a President Lincoln, full digital multimode radio and was bought brand new in 2000 when I got the bug for HAM DXing  Very Happy had some cracking convo's overseas with both!

Once I find myself a Vit, one of these are going into it but can't decide which just yet until I finally get one.
Anyway, not very interesting but thought i'd share anyway  Very Happy

I bought that back in 1998 from an old chappy down near Chichester in West Sussex. It's bomb proof Smile

Takes me back a bit, we all had CB radio in our cars & bedrooms, garden sheds, you name it, back in the late 70s early 80s before they went to FM, loads of fun, there were no mobile phones or email so it was a good cheap way of talking to your mates !!
