I just got a 87 sami with a 1990 sidekick throttle body 1.6l. motor and running the stock transmission from the 1.3l. clutches started slipping so I changed everything from flywheel to throwout bearing and everything inbetween. and my clutches are still slippin the same as before(higher r.p.m.s  in lower gears and just tappin the throttle in 4th 5th will make it slip bad). it feels like my throw out bearing isn't releasing all the way and I noticed there is no spring or pin holding the throwout bearing to the forks. should there be? any one have any other ideas or dealt with the same.
  thanks any information helps

Lets start with the CLUTCH as there is only one. If you look at the old friction plate, was it worn down to the rivets that hold it on? Was it contaminated with oil? If the answer to these is no, then we can move on. From under the car, if you pull and push on the clutch release lever,,,, do you have a tiny bit of free play? If not this could be your problem. Is this a cable or hydraulic system? Try this and report back.
