Got Vitara last week, the other half checked it over and there was no coolant in it at all.

he filled it up and i did a few trips checked again and it was empty.

there is no sign of where it is leaking from

any suggestions what it might be?

cheers

Sounds like it could be a head gasket. ... check to see if there is light brown mayo (oil/water mix) on the dip stick or on the filler cap for the same.

are carpets wet inside the car? as could be a heater matrix leak.

Head gasket could be expensive depends if car has over heated and warped the head, it will then need to be skimmed.

Am def not mech minded but my jimny went through a spell of dumping the contents of its expansion bottle at odd moments.....turned out to be a problem with the return pipe inside the expansion bottle!! Its not likely this is your problem but its the only thing I have managed to fix all by myself so thought I'd share  Embarassed  Embarassed  Embarassed
