Hi peeps. wondering with all the flooding going on about driving through deep or flooding water. what can the electrics take?
What about the alternator getting water in it etc?
any tips/ advice that would be handy, bow waves etc etc.

Sslllllllllowly does it & my personal favourite......if I cant see the other end I wont go into the water cos if I meet some berk comin the other way & have to stop, my teensy weensy likkle exhaust will suck up all that nasty dirty water & cause me considerable embarrassment! |

Very low gear, steady revs to keep water out of the exhaust and don't go any deeper than your airbox or top of diff breather hoses. Always worth doing a depth test before you commit the vehicle. Also be aware of any submerged obstacles and have a tow rope connected to your towing/recovery point and a friend with a 4x4 standing by to laugh at you initially and then to pull you out. _________________ Driving a 99' Vitara JX 4U2...

youve got it all wrong....
hell for leather in first or second gear and if you meet someone coming the other way, they shouldnt have been there in the first place.
besides, if you swamp them properly and they stall, you can charge them £50 to tow them out _________________ the car in front is a toyota...

i need to get sdome welding done first, the throttle bulkhead has rotted where the throttle pedal bolts to it so i need to get it plated before it can go anywhere.... _________________ the car in front is a toyota...
