I have already posted this in newbie section but thought this area was more apt

Hello everyone out there, I'm Katie and am looking at buying my first Vitara (1992 JLX soft top).  I have always wanted one but never got round to it til now is there anything in particular I should look out for?  Not really mechanically minded but the one I have found is MOT'd til June next year ( no advisories) and has 6 months road fund,also important to me is that it is original with no modifications! Looking forward to replies and any advice gladly received.
