Hey i was wondering if any one could help my with a problem i have, or if anyone has experienced a similar problem.

Recently my truck has started making a strange grinding/whining noise when i hit a small bump or cats eye, and it goes away randomly after a couple of minutes, or when i come to a complete stop. The noise seems to be coming from somewhere near the front drivers side wheel, which i recently had the wheel bearing replaced on. So i know it cant be the wheel bearing, i was wondering if it could be something to do with the manual locking hub, as it seems a bit seized up. Ive also been told it could be the leaf springs making the noise, strangely enough.

The noise was much louder a week ago, it was much more of a grinding noise and now its more high pitched and whiney. coasting in neutral it still does the same noise if a bump sets it off, and also speed dosnt really effect the way it makes the sound, it will sound the same right until its almost at a halt, then it will stop all together.

If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like it could be a new driveshaft required. If the bearing is replaced but the old one has worn a slight groove in the stub axle shaft, then you'll still get that sort of noise as what happened on my old Nova.
Would be worth making sure the hub is properly disengaging before you start spending any serious dollar.  Very Happy
