Hi All,
I am new to this forum and have aquired a 1996 Vitara which I wanted to fit driving lamps to.  Checked the feed at the headlamp and found them all to be live.  How would you suggest wiring them in? Smile

Andy

Do you mean extra lights, e.g spot lights. ?

You can't  just hook up to the headlamps, you will just blow fuses or melt wires, you will need to wire the additional lamps through a relay.

You have 1 constant live and two switched earth, which will appear as live when not being used.

You need to get a relay, new wiring is slightly different that the below diagram but wire as follows.

30 to bat
87 to lights

85 to live feed
86 to switched earth on headlight
