|
|
Hi all.
Am new to the forum and owning a Vit. As much fun as it is driving it, recently it has developed a strange little hiccup.
Have had a look on the tech part of the forum with no luck.
Signs and symptoms;
Pulling away seems to be hard work for it.(in 1st gear....)
Plateaus out at ~30mph in 3rd.
Pop it into 4th, and have to go upto about 35000 revs to stop it from plateauing again.
It just seems that there is a lack of power there.
Motorway cruising is fine.
4x4 is fine.
Has 35l petrol tank, used to get ~270mi, now 200-220mi.
In my quest to cure Mein little tank of its ailment, I have changed;
Oil
Oil filter
Fuel filter
Ht lead
Dizzy cap
Rotar arm
Sparks
Floor mats
Battery
Furry dice
Only using the good petrol and additive.
My next thing will be to change air filter
And maybe an expensive fuel tank flush
Hope someone can help.

id try the air filter before anything else.
when you say it plateaus, can you get past it or is that the ceiling?
also, does it occur out of gear or only when its under load?
only under load points maybe towards coil _________________ the car in front is a toyota...
the car pulling it out of the mud is a suzuki |
