Hi all,

What grade, Fully or Semi Syntethic, and what manufacture (for example Castrol) is recommended in terms of engine oil for a 2002 Grand Vitara 2ltr TDI?

Is there a long life oil that could also be used? Or is this primarily used for high end cars like BMW or Audi?

Thanks zocko

In Halfords they tell me its 5w30 semi-syn and on carparts.ie it says 15w40 semi-syn!

Not sure if all kinds recommended will do or if the guys at halfords for example are wrong etc.

I think I'll try your suggestion of 10w30.
