hello, i am new to here so hello everybody Smile, recently it got  a starting problem when cold,i have had to spray all points with wd40 to get her goin and even then it was not perfect.should i change the dizzy and rotor arm, contact breaker points, not sure which route to take.should not be the timing as have now timed it 180 degrees out,it ate the plugs they were really white, and also it takes along time to heat up,previous owner had half the rad coverd in foil to get some heat into her is this a good idea ? it does have a stat in her .

any help much appreciated thanks luke

I have changed the dizzy cap, rotor, and contact point, and now starts ok but i then took her for a run (local greenlane) and once warmed up

it was idling fairly high so tweaked the idle down and was then running lumpy ffs, took the plugs out to check them  and they were WHITE...

Went and bought a colour tune and tried to tune it but still running lumpy on 3 intermitently, so new leads and plugs ??? re do timing and tune???
Rolling Eyes
see what happens.....luke
