Just bought a Vitara 1999 and I get a jumping gear noise in the front drive side when turning sharply counter clockwise when in 4 wheel drive about every 180 degrees of turn....anyone run into this before.

sounds like maybe a front diff problem.....
have you checked the oil etc? _________________ the car in front is a toyota...
the car pulling it out of the mud is a suzuki |

Thanks for the reply. The diff oil level is up. Just dropped into Zuki Nation (specializes on Suzukis) about this and they think it might be the vacuum engagement acting up. |

Actually ended up being a problem with 1999 Vitara differentials. Changed out the front end for a combination of a 1998 with some of the 99 parts and it is now working great. |
