Hi,hope you can help.My Vitara (1994 1.6 JLX) is only running on 3 cylinders it seems number 4 at the back is dead. The electrics all seem fine there is a spark there.Changing the plug and running the engine the plug comes out dry so I`m assuming it`s fuel starvation. What`s the probability it`s a blocked injector how much can I source one of these for?

I think what you are saying is,has each cylinder got only one injector, yes I think so,I can see only 2 injectors, one on cylinder 1 and one on the back cylinder 4.

first thing is get a decent injector cleaner in there.....

that will cure most injector problems but not the "cheap" halfords crud, try and get hold of protec fuel system cleaner. its good stuff

Ran the car for a week with 1 litre of injector cleaner in (kill or cure) but no joy.Off to a mechanic tomorrow to have second hand injector fitted.I`m thinking it isn`t that though Sad was wondering if it`s possible for both the inlet valves to jam closed?
