PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!!! Sad we were driving along down the motorway when we felt something blow loudly, shortly after we noticed white smoke emitting heavily from the bonnet and possibly the exhaust,we pulled over and pooped the lid to notice the top hose going from the radiator to the engine had split wide open,we had 15 miles to home so we let the smoke clear and the engine cool down then decided we would at least make it home.
5 miles later we noticed the car rapidly and drastically losing power then as soon as that happened more white smoke emerged and a loud noise then the car died right there on the motorway!!! luckily we were instantly near a layby and managed to get safe.
the AA driver who towed us home said in his professional term "its f*cked"the head gasket gone and im going to need a complete new engine", and not to bother as it would probably cost more than the car itself to buy and fit an engine through a local garage.
he asked me to start the ignition and there was absolutely no chance it sounded like it would ever start, was the AA man right?what do i do????PLEASE HELP ME PLEASE!!!

ive only had this car for 3 months and its the second time its been driven it passed an mot in july before i bought it though.
its a white convertible hard top 1.6 jreg suzuki vitara 1991 jlx se petrol.

PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT TO DO I CANT LOSE THIS CAR ITS MY FIRST Sad

after running it without water youve probably cooked the engine....

unless youre pretty good with spanners and have a few hundred quid spare, it probably needs a new engine Sad

As zocko says but you could buy a second hand one from a breaker or private seen them for £70 upwards and not a hard engine to change.Does the engine start?

Amazing I've been quoted a really good reconditioned engine for £350 Inc delivery so I could get it delivererd
To yours I think that would be easier, how much would you charge for a tow and fit so I roughly know how much I have to get together?! Smile
