hi i recently brought a 91 vitara 1.6 carb. its been fine up uptill last nite when it kept lossing power and then picking its self back up again.. i spoke to 1 person and they said it  sounded like it could be  spark plugs or leads.ive checked those and they could do with replacing, getting new ones tomoro,it seem worse when goin up hill, untill it went up a hill and died and hasnt started since, checked the fuel filter and thats new renewing(again getting that tomoro), ive also checked the fuel pump which seems to be working fine,
someone else has told me to blow out the fuel lines,is there anthing else i should try or do?
any advise would be a great help.
thanks
danny

su carb is best but youll have to make/buy an adaptor elbow to fit the manifold.

webbers will give you more power but can suffer with icing on long drives as well as suffer from fuel starvation on very steep inclines.

its horses for courses really but work out what you want to do with the vehicle and then pick the option to suit your needs.
