HI all, I have recently bought my second Samurai, first one was as normal as can be , this new one is a bit modified.
At any speed in any gear i get this really loud whine , best way i can describe it is like a racing/straight cut gearbox, there is also some oil splatter above the rear axle on the underside of the body work so i guess the seal between the diff and the propshaft has had it.
the noise however is insane! any ideas on what this is , or a good place to go and get this checked out near Hastings ( south east ) would be much appreciated
Cheers |

first thing to do is check your oil levels.....
back diff seem like to be a good probability in need of at least a top up _________________ the car in front is a toyota...
the car pulling it out of the mud is a suzuki |

The oil levels seem to be ok , i am also uncertain , if the noise is coming from just the diff , or the gearbox as well
Thanks for the reply.
I am going to go to bexhill gearboxes to see if they can shed anymore light before i blow something up |
