Hi...My suzi failed her MOT as the inner sills are shot! does anyone have any options of best method of replacement? ie ive found original panels (not cheap) but heard of someone just chopping them out and fitting box section, in a sort of rock slider style...pressume this would still pass mot? any one else had this problem( i cant be the only one )any assistance is greatly recieved.....shes a V6 98 5 door...far too good to scrap or break so i want to get sorted....

replaced the iner sills on my dads JLX with angle iron passed no problems
advice tho remove the carpet and the rear screen wash pipe and wiring that runs thro the sill _________________ Vitara LWB, 2.5 V6 grand Vitara engine, remapped ECU, 3" lift kit, gas shocks, Bull bar, Colway C-trax 235/70/16, MUD (SOLD) |

HI Sweed2k1...Thanks for reply...was beginning to think site was closed .....Thats good to hear as i just found out the sills i found were outer only so left me with a problem as its mainly the inner that are shot!...Do you have any pics of yours ...what size box did you use, i was think 3" but would be interested to hear what you used,.....did you seam weld it or spots.....and thanks for advice about carpets etc, i have removed all that but will chk the washer pipe cause i dont remember shifting that!!
