Hello out there new to this forum but not to suzuki 4x4s. I have recently purchased a 1994 Vitara JLX. It currently has Fatboy wheel and tyres installed. I have purchased this to replace my tired old LJ80 as an off road weapon of choice. Has anyone installed 235/75/15s on a non lifted truck. If so did you have any clearance problems. I am trying not to have to lift the truck unless it is needed. The LJ went everywhere with a mild 2 inch lift and 215/75/15 Mufd terrain tyres. I am not a fan of large lifts as they take away from the usability of the truck.

Well I have now fitted new tyres. The Fat boy is now sitting on 30x9.50x15 Hankook Dynapro MTs. Only mods required was some careful wing realignment with a 3lb hammer. Truck now has the following modifications

Front winch
uprated bullbar mountings
Snorkel
Dual batteries
extended axle, gearbox, and T-case breathers
30 inch tyres
Astra rear shocks
Sat Nav/Stereo
rear seats removed  and cargo box and recovery gear stowage installed
Fire extinquisher
Driving lights
Rear tow bar

Modifications to come

Rear winch just requires installation all parts have been collected
Second fire extinquisher (to Comply with new MSA regs)
Roll cage and rock sliders ( tubing sitting in garage ready for bending, welding and time )
Possible lift haven't decided on this one yet as I don't like them
Twin voltmeters and oil pressure gauge ( Just require installation)

My son's Vitara JX has 31x10.50x15 tyres on his vitara but it has a 2 suspension and 3 inch body lift. I run 30x9.50x15 MTs on my Vitara fatboy with a 2 inch suspension lift front and rear and no body lift. If I get the chance I will swap the wheels over and let you know if 31's will fit without a bodylift. I do not have a body lift on mine for a couple of reasons. 1st I want it to fit in my garage and 2nd I use my vitara for Trialling and the bodylift raise the center of gravity to much with no added performance gain. I will admit that it does give it a good look. My son's was already lifted when he bought it. Hope this helps
