Hey all

Had excessive play in my steering, and as it progressively got worse, going round right hand bends made the car feel like I was driving the boat, it didn't seem to correct itself. I was advised the steering box was the culprit and this was changed.

The play in the steering is sorted, but the weird 'boat on water' sensation is still there with the right hand turns. It feels almost as if the wheel is trailing on the passenger side. Upon looking at the ball joint there is oil there, whereas on the driver side it is not present.

On tight lock it does clunk too. Would this be CV joints or something a little more serious? My local suzuki dealership were hardly cheap when it came to diagnosing the steering box, and didn't mention anything else. Any ideas before I go back down there? Any similar experiences?

Thanks

try pointing out that you paid them to diagnose it for you and they havent done so as the problem is still there.

you might be able to kick up a little fuss and theyll do it for free
