Hi there.
Can anyone help?
Ive only had my SJ410 a few months and had some fun with it but it keeps cutting out when going over bumps.
It handles most things and Im pretty chuffed with it only, when it goes up a steep climb and hits a bump just as it crests the slope the engine wants to cut out!
When I press the accelerator the engine tries to die so I lift off, wait for a little while with the engine ticking over (sometimes needing some choke to keep it going) until it reacts properly to pressing the throttle. Once it revs up when I press the throttle off I go again.
Does anyone know what this might be? I cant decide whether:
the fuel pump is having trouble under high demand,
the "bump" causes air to be pulled through,
the "bump" messes around with the mechanical fuel pump
there is an electrical fault or loose connection (surely this would happen more often if this was a problem)
it has a weak spark or something similar.
It has the standard factory mechanical pump. Is there an upgrade for this? Does anyone have an ideas what the problem is?
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks |
