Its quite an unusual hobbie but got into it after watching some youtube vids on the subject about 14 months ago now and now I'm in the process of building my third 5 foot tallbike. I've still got the first one I built (<---See my avatar), the second was purple and was originally built for someone else but was later sold on Ebay to a bike collector of all people so I'm quite pleased about that.
The reason of this new topic is that some members have expressed an interest in tall bikes and I thought I would add a little flavour... if I'm now allowed to post pics!

My first and daily ride tall bike measuring 5 foot to the handlebars, 21speed, front and rear brakes and reflectors... and 1 jockey!

... Twas my first attempt at welding(I know its not great!) and the first time I sprayed a bike since I was at school! The tall bike has had a further respray and is pretty much as my avatar.
Third one on the way but the one to watch will be built hopefully in April... 9 foot tall bike! |

On the first picture have you got a chainring both sides of the bottom bracket on the bottom frame and a derailleur to keep the tension ? _________________ Nothing untoward happening here officer, just trying to rake the moon out of this pond

Yeah thats right. Doesn't allow back pedelling but then keeps the 21 gears as it should have. |
