Im after finding out what su carb will fit and work on my sj 413 or is it just a case of adaption plates and they will all work.
Ive heard it has to be an auto choke unless i put a cable in which sounds like less to go wrong in the future _________________

You need to make an adapter up, short piece of pipe with the right flanges on either end, not hard. The bonus with the SU is it don't matter wich way up you mount it, it's just a bit of an *beep* to top up the oil if it's the wrong way up, obviously if his has a manual choke you have to put one in and vise versa.
Make sure you have a warm air feed into it aswell cause if you don't then you will end up with carb freeze in the winter. |

I've done 2 I did 1 for a 410 and 1 for a 413, I don't know if it matters but I got a 1.0 carb off a1.0 mini and a 1.3 carb off a 1.3 Metro, when I did it. I have got masses of carb books here I will have a look and see if the jets are difference sizes for you if I can find the relevant literature. |

I have no pics of the carbs I've done, I really should take more pictures. They were for friends of mine. |

Yeah they can be really fiddley I got someone elce to set one of them up for me, the other was fine. Mostly cause you need some proper tools to reach the adjustments and stuff, give me a pair of downdraught Webbers and I'll synchronise them for ya, used to piss about with them nearly every weekend when I had them on me XR2.
Oh and the Metro was an MG. |

I think most people go with a HIF44.
Link to a post with a bit of info in.
But I think you can probably get most of them to work after a fashion if you've got the patience (and money) to keep changing needles. _________________ Alan
