i want to cut the tin top off my sj and convrt it into a pick or flat back,but i am unsure if it will get through the next mot.any ideas ???

a few people at the bodysop i work at said that but the mot inspector says he is not sure :/

it has seperate chassis so the body is not structural, as long as there is no rot near the body mounting points or seat and seat belt mounts then the rest of it can be falling apart.

You can make it in to a pickup truck, send off a change of body style request to the DVLA and wait to get a reply, occasionally they will want to inspect the vehicle, but this is not a safety or engineering check, its just to see if enough of the original vehicle is left to keep its identity as a Suzuki, which it will do no problem.
