fourtrak 2.8 d in a sammy!!

Right im off to look at a sammy with a 2.8 d fourtrak lump in it with fourtrak running gear and rather large wheels!!

Its got a problem in as much as its stuck in nuetral but the fella says he was in deep water and thats what *beep* it .
He either thinks it will need what oil is in the cental diff draining and replacing or it could need a new central diff.


Now i will hold my hands up and admit i am clueless about it so any pointers will be most welcome.

£500 mate,i know his brother but i didnt want it with no log book ,i know i could have applied for one,but for once i erred onthe side of caution,which i dont normaly do!!!!!

Don't blame you really. £500 sounds like  quite a lot for a broken car with no log book.
Also I suppose you don't know how well the conversion's been done, how good the engine
Is or anything much about the car, it could turn out to be a right pig.

If it was a bit cheaper, it might have been worth taking a gamble on.

yeah id have had it for £300 but thats wasnt an option!!!
