hi, i am told by alot of people that fitting a electric fan on the radiator will gain me power from the standard 1.0L engine
instead of using the drive from the engine...
what type of fan do i use?
ive been told corsa B, are there any other options for electric fans??

just go down the scrappy with a tape measure, dont try to fit one the wrong side of the rad as the blades are desined to push or pull but not both.
Dont expect a huge boost, a couple of bhp is all you'll get if that, the engine may feel a bit more lively though, when the electric fan is working it'll still cost you power as the alternator becomes harder to turn as electrical items operate, when it switches off though you'll see a benefit so make sure the temp sensor is set up right, also add a switch into the circuit so you can switch it off for wading. |
