Hi all, hope you can help with a bit of a problem.
We have 2000 Jimny and this morning she skidded on some black ice and bumped up the kerb, not too fast but enough to do some minor damage to the nearside front wheel rim. Since then there is a very bad judder/ wobble which seems to start from hitting any small indent/ pothole in the road and it starts it off, anything over around 30 mph. It gets very bad and you need to pull over, it is much worse than say a wheel out of balance.
i changed the wheel thinking that might cure it but it is still there. I have checked underneath and everything seems to be in order except the bar that ties the axle to the chassis is bent, should it be? Also the steering wheel is now out of alignment, almost 180 degrees! from the straight ahead position.
Not sure where to look next, any ideas anyone?
thanks all, hoping we can get it cured
