Hi guys,
again I have a question about my automatic transmission and would love to have some input on something. I have your bog standard setup being P, R, N, D, 1, 2 and L. To switch the transmission into 4WD I must leave the shift in P and then crank the small stick into 4WD. Now, I also have 4L - but I can't seem to select it? Any ideas on switching the car into 4WD Low range?
Again any help is greatfully appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike. _________________

Daughter just bought her first car '90 Vitara auto. Took it out for a 4wd light run today. With the auto to select low range you need to turn off the engine then it will go into low range. From low back to high slip auto into N (neutral) move level back to high range.
One thing I found was going up tracks it was great but coming down low range with auto selector in L it did not have the engine braking as a manual and I had to ride the brakes all the way down, which defeats the purpose.
I rand a local 4wd workshop and he said this is normal for a little Suzy auto. |
