i was exactly the same, i love the way it looked with the wider rims, ive fitted a snorkel now which has sealed the cars fate as an off roader, it cant have the wide arches on unless i carve the front 1 up to go round the snorkel, so im selling the whole wideboy lot now....

silly question but... does it drive better with the thinner wheels? (rather than the original fatboy rims)

Yeah, change the wheels for standard Vitara wheels... but it will look odd with the wide arches.

Hi

has anyone thought about this. if you keep the steel wheels and add bolt on spacers to the hubs then you get to keep the skinny wheels and fill the arches. you also get a wider track that should make it more stable on sideways hills as it would alter the center of gravity. i'm not sure if it would alter the road manners but i have seen it done on normal road cars and it seemed to work. does anyone out there have all the gear they could test the theory and report back. i would but my car is dead at the moment.

just a thought but take it with a pinch of salt as i am manwell i know nothing. any ideas???

he he

cheers

what are those wheels called? I know they are standard but I could really use a set of these and would love to know if they have a specific name  Cool
