3/4 of thoses pm's were asking you about the history and the make/model/brand etc. of the damper. My last message was ASKING you to reply to my offer.

2/3 of the public postings were tagged onto replies to posts and still being polite about it. I admit the last was a little rude but it had been 4 days since i had actually heard anything from you about the damper even though you were posting on other topics and this topic regularly...

If you look through the forum at any of my posts I have been friendly and offering my advice from my own knowledge as i have been offroading vitaras for many years. My experience of the roll bar was from a friend who i regularly offroad with's Vitara, i would say a friends experience is good enough to call my own experience dont you think? And now after that event i advise anyone to just re-fit their roll bar for the mot just to save trouble, it being a small job to do.

Again, what
Quote:
'dangerous advice'
have i offered?

I appologise about insulting you although i do believe saying
Quote:
'bear... get stuffed.'
and
Quote:
'now grow up and stop throwing a tantrum'
is rather insulting when i had just asked for a reply after 4 days? I would say that we were 'getting on' with 'common courtesy' until you told me to 'get stuffed'?

With regards to the 'new member section' i did not know it existed although i will search it out and post there.

Please could you explain
Quote:
'and btw, your sig says it all about you...'
?? My 'sig' portrays what happened on a day out with the friend i mentioned earlier, how does that say it all about me?

I feel that this is not the kind of behaviour people will want to see in this forum and appologise to everyone for blemishing a forum which is otherwise full of useful knowledge and great people.

Christian.

with all due respect, a friends experience is not good enough to call your own experience as you havent actually experienced it.

a similar analogy would be for me to point out i have a friend who has worked on the honda touring car team, does this mean i can claim his experience as my own?

Saying about an anti roll bar and then comparing it to a race car team? Doesnt really compare does it...

Funny thing is my uncle drives one of the rigs for Honda haha

Anyway, more importantly:

Bricky... as long as you dont go higher you should be fine...

You may want to consider buying front axle drop brackets like these: http://www.bits4vits.co.uk/store/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=18
They will correct the angles of the CV's a bit, therefore taking stain off them (a bit, not totally). They are expensive but not that expensive when you campare it to a new diff! hehe

Enjoy the 18th! Smile Where are you off too?

Cheers,

Christian.

make sure your brake lines arent too tight bricky. you should have plenty of play in them so you dont rip the flexis on a drop-off.

other than that, just take it steady until youre sure its all ok.

let us know how you get on (with pics if you can)

Yep, brake lines lock to lock and at full downwards extesion/articulation. With it jacked up supported by the chassis on axle stands, wether you have the front or back up (or both), the suspension will be at full extension (provided you lift it high enough so the wheels are off the ground! Embarassed ) You can then check ur brake lines.

Also you handrake cables, should be fine but just check at full downwards extension/articulation...

Oh and check your tracking and camber especially if it does any amount of road miles, save your tyres Very Happy

Erm, that should be it Smile

Check youve got some fuel for the 18th! Smile
