Chant Lane isn't really worth going down, its too short but I did find a couple this week, there is one called Cooper's Hill Road and that was pretty good although again not very long. And tonight I did the byway Vert Wood Lane, through Vert Wood itself. And it was nice and long, and very tricky in parts. Alot of muddy mounds and fairly deep pools of water! _________________

Ressurecting this post to add that Vert Wood Lane in East Sussex is on the limit with standard Vitara and I use it regularly to test my 4x4 capability. Also found enough lanes around and about Vert Wood to make a good mornings drive. Anyone wanting to join me, please feel free to message me a mobile number and we'll drive these on a Sunday morning or something. _________________ Driving a 99' Vitara JX 4U2...
