Update:
OK, so the wife got me finally doing the interior of her zook now we have a weeks break from attending shows. And we are going for a white leather re-trim on panels for now, but we are looking for white bucket seats too to but later in the year unless an absolute bargain comes along.
So first up is the offending panels which are coming out
Now there out on both sides they need a quick clean, which is done with auto glym engine degreaser and dry toweled off. And now the leather material in measured up.
Then i use a carpet glue from a spray can to use as the adhesive, which is left to go tacky for 15 minutes before i apply the leather, trim off any excess. Then neaten up the edges and glue down if needed. These are then overnight for the glue to dry completely. With a small drill bit i poke the fixing holes back through, and proceed to clean the material with auto glym's leather cleaner as they did get a few finger marks on them which is unavoidable really. And the rear speakers were also re-attached, cleaned up again and ready for fitting.
And there they are all cleaned up and re-fitted. The certainly brighten the zook's interior up a touch IMO. I'm planning to do they door cards next week with the same leather material and new shiny chrome silver window winder handles, but noticed that they are a bit tough to get off, i'm going to assume that they are held on with an E clip of some sort. Would i be right on this ?
Comments are very welcome good or bad. |

Mine came from a local store in the high street in my home town, and i think i paid about £8 per square metre so not too expensive.
I also found some on ebay too, but they were more expensive. |
