HI

Hope Someone can help me out.

Had a leak on the steering box on my 1992 lwb 1.6 Vitara. Loacated the problem as a broken seal on the shaft. Changed the seal, cured the leak but now i have the following problems.

Car snakes once i get over 40mph, difficult to maintain a straight line.

Steering does not centre.

Steering does not feel as light as before.

The best way to describe the problem is it is like driving thru custard with 2 flat front tyres!

Can anyone give some advise and if its worse case where is the best place to buy a "new to me" steering box in the UK as generally car parts, even second hand ones tend to be silly money in Spain.

Thanks in advance

Steve

The age old approach of taking it to bits and putting it back together again seems to have done the job!
