Question

Hi,

Just fitted a 1.6 vitara 8 valve engine (G16A) in the the little 410 SJ running a SU carb hiff44.
Started up on the the key, but now i have been checking the timing and found that the ignition timing
was running at 20 degree BTDC with engine speeds under 1000 rpm, Blocking the vacuum from the the SU carb to dizzy vacuum. The engine is running back at 8 degree. So conected the vacuum back up to the dizzy and tried slow the vacuum down - but no joy!
What i would like to know is should i run the vacuum advance on the dizzy if so how, or get ride of it??

Thanks
Luke.
Very Happy
