Hi all,

Well my sj needs a bit of pursuasion when i come to start it up. Nothing major i thought. Except the other night after work it drove fine for roughly a mile but then started kangarooing and stalling. Normally when warming up i have to tickle the gas to keep it running for a couple of mins before driving anywhere. But no matter how long i do this for now it still loses revs and stalls itself.

Our guess was some sort of problem with the carb or the fuel jets. Anyone any suggestions on causes and solutions??

Thanks, Colin.

It doesn't have a manual choke though.

yeah all thats fine but when the choke comes off the engine seems to have to much air and cant keep running until you touch the gas pedal. The mixture is fine though, all the air intakes are fine, we've changed the manifold gasket incase of a leak but no joy. is there anywhere else i could look for air leaking in????
