|
|
Hi all,
I installed a 1 3/4" lift kit to my '94 LWB vitara. It worked fine, but the camber of the front wheels was way off. I then installed some camber bolts, bringing in the camber about 5 degrees. Now when I engage 4WD my CV joints clunk like hell and it generally sounds awful, and doesn't roll smoothly.
Since the CV joints were working fine prior, could there be something that I've done during the install that's caused this? Will buying new CV joints even fix this? How much of a nightmare is it to installed new CV joints?
Many thanks for any help in advance!

just looking into this a bit more - will I need a front prop spacer?
Also, I've noticed that the lift kit seems to have raised the front up a little more than the rear - looking at the bits for Vits site, I see there's a rear heim spacer kit. Could ti be that because the rear axle is fixed, that the full lift of the kit isn't achieved as the axle cannot drop enough?
Cheers. |

you only need a heim spacer if you put really long shocks, i ran procomp es 1000's and a 2" shock extender and still didnt need a heim spacer. as far as the front being a bit higher fit a winch bumper and winch and it will be perfect |
