im pretty sure the 93 diesel was a 1.9 peugeot lump (someone will correct me im sure) so look around for a 205/405 lump of the same era.

the early 405 1.9td engine is a pretty much bulletproof engine so it might be worth taking that route?

If it is the peugeot 1.9 XU lump then the peugeot 2.1td will go in. The pump is fly by wire so some splicing of looms is involved along with getting an unlocked ecu (just unplug ecu with engine running then dont reconnect the immobiliser wire). Is it only diesel your interested in?
