I've not long had my SJ and am in the process of making it how I want it.
I was routing around under the bonnet removing my carppy carburetor in an attempt to fix it, when I noticed what appears to be my flywheel showing through the bell housing.
Can someone be kind enough to have a look at their SJ and see what should be there please? I suspect I have a missing a bung but I'm not completely sure.
See the picture below for where I'm talking about. It's on the near side of the car near the exhaust manifold.
Many thanks in advance
Alan

Your quite right there should be a bung in the hole to stop mud and more mud getting in and around the flywheel |

Gaffa tape, really?
I might try to make a cover plate for it. Suppose I could drill and tap a couple of holes in the bell housing, put a rubber O-ring under the plate and clamp it down.
I don't want to knacker my clutch when I submerge it going through some deep muddy water, so need to do something.
I've emailed ADK Suzuki spares, but I doubt they'll have one.
If all else fails, I'll give the gaffa tape idea a go |
