Please can anyone help me, or give me some advice?
Took the vit offroading yesterday and the fuel tank came down on something hard and is now leaking. Yes, there is a protection plate, but it is actually bolted onto the tank aswell as the chassis, so all the force got put straight through the seam of the tank about half way up and split.
For now, I've left it with a local garage, who is just going to pump some of the fuel out to stop it going everywhere. Question is, what then? Do I just replace it? If so, then surely I'm just going to keep knocking it, and eventually need to replace it again. Or would it be better to relocate it? And if so, where to and how? Will it still be road legal? How much do you think that will cost? What do I use as a tank?
Can anyone help?
