Hi all,

Right bought my 1st suzuki the other day and not actually driven it on the road properly yet, ust had a little potter up and down the street.  Noticed the steering wheel has quite a few degrees of turn in it before it actually feels like its starting to turn the wheel. Is there any way the steering can be tightened to minimize this or is it just a given on the sj's??

Hope someone can help.

first of all, check your ball joints by getting someone to sit at the wheel and move it just in the slack are and see if the arm under the steering box moves. if this is all stationary with the steering wheel still able to move back and forth, look on top of the steering box, there should be a nut with a slotted bolt sicking out. loosen the nut very slightly and adjust the screw til the steering feels tighter.

same principle, just count the belts under the bonnet 1= no power steering, 2=power steering Very Happy
