hi , i have just bought a vitara and i gotta say the stereo sound is rubbish. its an aftermarket sony unit so im guessing it should sound ok. I think the problem is the speakers , i think they must be shot. Does anyone know what better speakers will replace the old ones ? cheers

Speakers depend on budget generally. Best bet is to go down to halfords and have a look what you like, then go home and buy them off 'tinternet for about half the price Wink

I need 2 new front dash speakers for my Vit.  This may sound a stupid question but how do you measure the size?

Is from the edges of the frame or the actual speaker itself?

Mine measure 4" on the speaker & 5" on the frame.  So I'm assuming I need to buy 4" speakers, am I correct?

Checked the rears and they are 4" on the speaker & 5 1/4" on the frame?

LOL!  If only it was that easy in Cyprus.  The modded car scene is massive out here.  I have had a look around the car accessory shops but only get funny looks when I ask for a piddly 4"/10cm speaker.  It's not macho enough!  Very Happy

I'll have to order it online from the UK so was just checking the size for my piece of mind.
