Hi can anyone help with my problem? I was wondering which is better for offroading a vitara or samurai? As i'm selling my fortrak to get a new offroad beast and everywhere i go it's always those 2 4x4's or landrovers but i think far too big for my liking same as my fourtrak so thats gone aswell lol. Any help and advise would be much appreciated!!!! |

vit is better if you plan to do lots of road miles.
but sammys perform better off road.
its down to what you plan to do with it in the end. |

get an 8v carb vit engine, fairly easy to swap.
1.9 pug is also easy
you can get an adapter plate to make fitting even easier. |

diesel will give you more torque at lower revs but the vit engine will sound better when you rev the nuts off it lol.
also, its easier to swap for another petrol engine as you dont need to change any fuel parts etc, diesel conversion needs a complete new fuel system.
according to 'meandthewife' you can pretty much complete a vit transplant in a day if you get everything you need in advance. _________________ the car in front is a toyota...

lol...out of the box sj is best but i personaly think the vitara is best, you just need to mod the front axle
not many people will agree but as standard you get a 1.6engine and power steering and a fairly decent cab and for around £300 you could have a live axle |
