Hi My problem is getting to be a real pain, I have a J reg jlx 8v vitara. I have replaced the head gasket, but since doing this when I put on the lights or the rear window or the int blower the rev's pick up but they do not pick up a little, they go from 1000rpm to just about 3000 rpm.
What could it be?
The timing is ok (8 degree before TDC), or it appears to be when I do not have lights or other on.
Not sure what to try next It can get quite hairy at night when youre car tries to go faster then I indend it to do
Please Help Dan
And yes my spelling is carp, sorry |

if its a carb engine, itll be a faulty idle-up control.
think its a green plug on the carb.
mine done the same, i just unplugged it, all better now.
its just there to compensate the idle revs for the increased alternator load. _________________ if its got t*ts or tyres, its gonna be trouble!! |
