Hi all,

I've recently bought a 1987 SJ410 fitted with MACHO Greenway 235/75R15 tyres.  How can I find out if these tyres are road legal?  I found one site "tyremonkey" that states that Greenway tyres are not road legal.

But then Wealden Tyres states that only the Greenway Allegator is not Road Legal

Is there a marking on the tyres that indicates whether it is road legal or a register I can refer to?  How can I be sure?  I understand that the manufacturer went into receivership in 2007 so I can't even give them a ring.  Any help appreciated.

Cheers

Andy

Greenway machos are deffo road legal. I fit my spare set of wheels with these on every year for mot on my patrol (The hummer tyres stick out a little far for mr mot tester)
The aligators are the non road ones as you've been correctly advised
