Hi guys,
can anyone please tell me what tyre's can i fit on my standard SJ.
Someone is selling some wheels and tyres local and need to know regarding width if 235 wide will fit, and if i have to use spacers how much do i need to space them by.
Thanks for your comments on the engine problem by the way, i have new fuel pump and breather pipes and seems to be sorted now |

Do you know what the profile height is? 235/??/R15? That makes all the difference. I assume they're mud terrains or all terrains in which case they're probably 235/75/R15, that being the case the fronts will most probably rub the bumper, springs & anti-roll bar when turning the steering, and up under the wheelarches when flexing. You could fit spacers (I hate spacers by the way ), I think the most common ones are about 25 - 30 mm, but then you'd still need to remove or trim the bumper and she'd still rub under the arches when flexed....
I've personally got 215/80/R15s on standard rims, they're a little narrower but about the same height as 235/75s. I've done a 2" body lift for clearance under the arches, then re-mounted the front bumper 2" higher and about an inch further forward, oh and I don't have an anti-roll bar any more. They occasionally catch the springs on full lock, but not always and never enough to worry about.... No other problems at all _________________

Oh yeah, forgot to add if you fit 235s on standard rims with spacers to a 410, they'd probably stick out too far to be strictly legal, so you might need extended wheelarches _________________
