Had a look at the uderside of the oil cap and it looks like toffee yoghurt. This is only on the underside of the cap and round the threads of where it screws on to. The oil in the engine looks fine. I work 2 miles from home and pop home 3 times a day to let the dog out so its hardly comming off choke. The vitara doesn't run hot, misfire, the heaters are ok, there are no prolems what so ever.

Headgasket?

Hopefully for you that'll be condensation. Not unusual with all those short journeys, you're not giving it a chance to warm up properly and burn the moisture off.
