hi mates i am planning in the near future to swap the standard 13 petrol engine to a 15 turbo diesel engine. I`ve already discussed this with a few mates and got opinions to get either an isuzu or a toyota engine and actually the isuzu has been more favourited.

So my questions are the following:

1:- which of these engines u think is best?

2:- (a more stupid question:P) i`m not very technical but should i be changing the gearbox aswell??

thanks in advance for your help

i have read somewhere that a vw diesel engine ( cant remember which one ) fits straight in and there is only six wires so is easy... you normally use the suzuki transmission but you will need to make an adaptor plate as the engines and gearboxes are diffrent shapes... will try and find the info about the vw engine...  Very Happy  Very Happy
