Hi all.

I have had this issue ever since I bought my Vitara, but it is starting to annoy me now.

When it rains and I am parked facing downhill, water fills up the bodywork and when I drive off I can hear it sloshing around.  When I move and face uphill it all pours out at the front of the rear wheel arches.  I used to think it was in my sills but after a heavy rain yesterday it sounded like it was all around me.

The water never comes inside and I have checked underneath and nothing is blocked or clogged.  It has been suggested that this is just a vitara thing, and that because I have a sunroof, the water drainage from this was never great and what I can hear is it just all escaping and nothing to worry about.

Does anyone have any ideas?  Does anyone think it is a problem? (I don't want things corroding away around me!)

Cheers

Benner

Yeah I checked the doors but they seem to be ok.  It has been suggested that it could also be my body kit, but I'm going to check my sunroof first.

Well I have looked and both drainage holes look absolutely fine.

Any ideas?

Have you just looked at the drainage holes or tried to clear them ?.

Reason being my fathers Mondeo used to do exactly the same and it was the blocked drainage holes,
so I pushed some thick wire down them and also used a jet wash down the holes
now his cills don`t fill with water.  Wink
